Henna has been used since antiquity to dye skin, hair and fingernails, as well as fabrics including silk, wool and leather.

Mehndi is a paste that is placed in a cone-shaped tube and is made into designs for men and women.

The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books.  Mehndi is a Vedic custom, intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun.

Made with henna powder, lemon juice, sugar, water and cajeput essential oil.  This paste is the simplest recipe, with minimal ingredients. The paste is applied & let to dry until the stain sets into the skin. It can then simply be brushed off. The mehndi will last for 2-3 weeks depending on your body characteristics.
